The Two Types of Village Mania
When the Village Mania event starts, it usually runs for 2 to 4 hours. However, not all Village Manias are the same. There are two variations you need to know about:
Type 1: The 20% Flat Discount
This is the most common version. During this event, every single item in your village (all 5 items, across all 5 upgrade tiers) is discounted by exactly 20%. This is great for players who are starting a fresh village.
Type 2: The 65% Final Item Discount
This is the rare, high-value version. The first four upgrade tiers remain at full price, but the final 5th tier of every item is discounted by 65%. Because the 5th tier is mathematically the most expensive part of any village, this version saves you the most coins overall.
When Should You Build?
As outlined in our Village Build Strategy Guide, you should be doing "Full Builds" (building the entire village at once). Therefore, you should wait for either version of the Village Mania event to trigger.
